rice paper

A while back, my colleague and I went to an afternoon meeting in Kowloon Tong. This was only exciting because we also got to leave work early and eat lunch in Festival Walk.

We decided to eat at the Vietnamese restaurant rice paper (really, there's no caps), where I'd never been before. They have a nice, and rather big, lunch set. And though it's on the more expensive side, about $90 HK, it was also very tasty and filling.

The set comes in two parts. First, you get a steamer basket with six savory bites in it: spring roll, rice paper roll, dumpling, satay skewer, and two other deep-fried snacks. Honestly, this could almost be a meal in itself.

For the main dish, you can choose from a few different noodle soups. Because the first course was rather meat-heavy, I decided to get the vegetarian tomato herb soup with vegetables. It was maybe a little bland, but also felt vitamin-rich and healthy. Yum!
