Magical Mushroom Stroganoff
Last week before the Christmas holiday, I was trying to use up any food we had left, including onions, mushrooms and milk. When I was buying pasta, however, I got a few extra mushrooms and a small can of evaporated milk just in case.
As I had suspected, the milk in the fridge was already bad, so I only used the canned milk to make a mushroom cream sauce. However, it ended up tasting a lot like a veggie version of my mom's beef stroganoff, which was really tasty!
