A Chocolate Pasta Experiment
Last summer, I got a pack of chocolate pasta as part of a bridesmaid care package from my dear friend Erin. As her wedding was in Seattle, it was from Pappardelle's, a well-known shop in Pike Place Market.
I've delayed cooking the pasta because I wasn't quite sure how to prepare it: savory or sweet. However, we finally tried a sweet version of chocolate pasta for brunch/lunch one Sunday recently. It seemed to make sense, sort of like a substitute for pancakes.
After boiling and draining the pasta, I added fresh cream, chopped pecans, blueberries and some chocolate honey. It was very rich and delicious. Although I'm probably still more comfortable with savory pasta, I definitely enjoyed the chocolate version too.
