A day out on Cheung Chau

Over a three-day weekend in October, we took a day trip to Cheung Chau island to enjoy the nice weather. Unfortunately, a lot of other people had the same idea and it was rather crowded. Luckily, we got a seat without waiting at The Pink Pig Music Bar and Restaurant.

You can rent covered tricycles to ride around parts of the island and the waterfront, and the restaurant has a few that have been converted into tables. They're not the most comfortable seats for eating, but are certainly unique and Insta-worthy.

In addition to cute seats and a great view, the restaurant's food is also very tasty and reasonably priced. My chili fries with egg and sour cream were delicious, although slightly spicier than expected. David thoroughly enjoyed his bolognese-topped hot dog and seasoned fries as well.
