This past Friday I had the pleasure of attending the latest pop-up event at
Test Kitchen, an 8-course vegetarian tasting menu with locally grown food from
Agrician, an urban farm in Fo Tan. The food was incredibly delicious, fresh and flavorful, not to mention filling. I was absolutely stuffed by the end!
Of the 8 courses, there weren't any that I flat-out disliked, though I didn't love the beetroot in the second dessert or the salted egg in the corn soup. Some of my favorites were the French toast, truffle mushroom crepes and the whiskey cream in the potted plant bowl. I also thought the basil sorbet was very fragrant and refreshing, if a bit unusual.
