Sugar, Sugar

I have been on a complete sugar binge this week! Kinder Bueno bars, Cadbury Fruit and Nut bars, off-brand Nutella spread, Coke bottle gummies and chocolate soy milk are just some of the foods I have consumed in an attempt to assuage my insatiable appetite for sweets.

Continuing on my dessert kick, tonight I made bar cookies. Correction, tonight I made bar cookie dough. I used this recipe from Quaker Oats because at least it contains whole grains and some protein (walnuts). I thought bars would be much simpler to make, plus I don't have a real cookie sheet anyway.

But, it remains to be seen whether I will actually bake the cookies. Why is it that cookie dough tastes so amazing, almost better than cookies themselves? One of life's great mysteries.
