Dumplings at Wang Fu
The restaurants in Central tend to serve Western or international cuisines and be in rather expensive price ranges. However, I recently tried a yummy and cheap Beijing-style Chinese place called Wang Fu on Wellington Street.
The menu is fairly straight forward and includes a few different types of dishes: dumplings, dumplings with soup noodles, noodle dishes, rice dishes. They even have vegetarian dumplings, which can be hard to come by in Hong Kong.
We ordered several dishes to share as a group, including hot and sour soup and boiled pork and chive dumplings (pictured below). We also tried some fried dumplings and cold noodles in sesame sauce. Everything was very good, and I want to go back to try the tomato and egg dumplings!
