Kiss Me, Cupcake
In the past couple of years, there have been more and more cupcake shops opening in Hong Kong. At about HK$25 each, they aren't cheap, especially compared to desserts at more local bakeries. However, I always want to try them, being a lover of sweets.
Recently, I went to the Kisses Cupcakes shop in K11 mall. I had seen it before and gazed longingly at the cupcake case, but not eaten anything. This time, I bought a chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing, and I couldn't wait to sink my teeth in.
But sadly, the icing on my cupcake was very Hong Kong style, with more of a whipped cream-like consistency, which was quite light and not too sweet. It was definitely not the typical American buttercream, and so did not feel like a true cupcake. Alas!
