The Best Afternoon Tea in Sandakan

On our first day in Sandakan, we went to the English Tea House & Restaurant next to the Agnes Keith house. We were exhausted after traveling since the night before, but the restaurant (as well as the house) offered a relaxing glimpse at colonial life in the past. 

Although the sandwiches weren't anything special, I was pleasantly surprised that the cakes and muffins had a good flavor and texture (unlike some Asian cakes that are too dry or not very sweet). But the highlight of the tea set was definitely the scones. They were absolutely huge and very delicious too!
