Chocolate chip oat bars
I've gotten lazier in my old age, and now it seems like too much work to make cookies most of the time. Maybe if I had a full-sized oven, but with my current toaster oven it takes several rounds to bake an average cookie recipe. Bar cookies, however, require less effort and usually taste just as good.
Recently, I made a half-batch of these Quaker chocolate chip oat bars, which was plenty for just the two of us. Although they looked a little bit too brown in the pan, they were actually perfectly done and not overcooked at all. Yum!
