The Spaghetti House

Ceramic dish of truffle macaroni and cheese on a cutting board

I remember seeing outlets of The Spaghetti House restaurant around town when I first moved to Hong Kong, and apparently it's been in existence since 1979. However, we tried it for the first time this year for a friend's birthday meal.

The interior of the Mong Kok branch had a very modern, fast-casual feel, similar to the decor of a Ruby Tuesday or fancy Pizza Hut. The menu was also pretty standard Italian American fare, though sadly without the unlimited breadsticks and salad of Olive Garden.

Nevertheless, the food was very good overall. I thoroughly enjoyed my truffle mac and cheese, and everyone else's dishes looked yummy too (including spaghetti with bratwurst, mushroom fettuccini, baked lobster pasta and spaghetti with vegetarian meatballs).
