An Old Family Favorite
I also made dessert for our dinner last night, and this one is an old family favorite. The recipe came from one of my great-grandmother's friends, and has since been passed down through the generations. It's nothing fancy, really, but it is certainly delicious.
Frozen Dessert
1 cup fresh fruit of any kind (last night it was peaches)
18 marshmallows
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
Melt marshmallows in a small saucepan. Add fruit and mix well; cook just one minute longer. Remove from heat and cool. Then combine with whipped cream. Pour into freezer-safe dish and place in the freezer. Allow a few hours in the freezer before serving.
