Bake & Bite

I have written at least once before about the countless bakeries in Hong Kong. There are so many close to my house, it's dangerous, really. One of those is called Bake & Bite, though it is in fact a bakery and takeaway restaurant combo.

I do not go to Bake & Bite very often, but it really seems cute. They have ready made salads and sandwiches, along with various baked goods and made-to-order paninis. And, even better, it is not too expensive, especially for a Western-style bakery.

For instance, my most recent purchase of two items -- an iced milk tea ($16) and a chocolate Oreo muffin ($9) -- was cheaper than just an iced chai latte from Starbucks. Additionally, the muffin was less expensive than Starbucks, Mrs Fields and even McCafe!
