Holding Out for a Hero

Hero's tuna sandwich

Hong Kong is an okay place for sandwiches. Prepackaged ones are available in 7-11, and any local cha chaan teng will make scrambled egg or ham and cheese sandwiches on plain white bread. And of course, there's Subway, which is David's favorite place.

However, I think if you're going to have a sandwich as a main meal, it should be something a little bit nicer. Hero Sandwich in Tai Kok Tsui is a Western-style sandwich shop/cafe, which also has salads, baked potatoes, pasta and dessert.

Their sandwiches are yummy, and in the meal deal they come with fries instead of boring potato chips! Even better, the meal combos are about HKD $30-60, which is quite reasonable for Western food in Hong Kong.
