The Swiss Cafe

Over the past few months, we've developed a new favorite lunch place at work. It is a slightly upscale cha chaan teng chain called the Swiss Cafe, located on King's Road near Fortress Hill MTR station.

They have quite an extensive menu, and it's all in English except for the daily lunch specials. Baked rice dishes are one of the specialties, and they have three vegetarian options. I've tried two, and both were great: mixed vegetables with Portuguese sauce and pumpkin and eggplant in tomato sauce.

However, my favorite thing to order is the 'Nutritious Set', which consists of a bowl of macaroni and ham in tomato soup, a sandwich of your choice (scrambled egg) and a strange salad of various raw vegetables and canned fruit coated in mayonnaise and topped with sliced egg.
