Boomshack-alaka

Last Sunday, we went to a restaurant inspired by American-style food trucks called Boomshack in Lan Kwai Fung. Although it is inside, the walls separating the dining area from the kitchen are metal, and even have tail lights and a license plate!

The menu is an interesting assortment of fast food, including burgers, tacos, ribs and sides. In the drinks refrigerator, there are American sodas like Dr. Pepper and Cherry 7-Up. I was excited to see Blue Moon beer, too, though I didn't have one this time.

The highlight, however, is the ultimate Southern comfort food: a waffle fried chicken sandwich. I was very tempted to order mine with gravy, but the cashier recommended cheese and ranch instead. Oh my, was it delicious! Finger-lickin' good indeed!

David ordered the TexMexican burger, which he thought was on the small side and rather bland. We also got an order of tater tots, but they were more like tater logs. Not the best I've ever had, but the sauce was good.
