Eat (Soup) Together

I have written about the Asian normality of eating soup in summer before, and I can still say that I would eat soup, particularly soup noodles, at any time of year (though preferably with air conditioning).

Earlier this summer we went to the Sham Shui Po branch of a cheap chain called Eat Together, which has a variety of noodle and rice dishes. In the process of "building" my own soup with different toppings and broth, I realized the menu already included a bowl full of veggie goodness.

My favorite vegetables in noodle soup are the big brown shiitake mushrooms and Chinese turnip. This set also included corn, lettuce and tofu puffs, plus the standard bean sprouts and spring onions. Served in broth with handmade noodles, it was fantastic!
