Trying Tofu "Egg" Salad


I've seen a few different recipes for tofu "egg" salad in the past, but never tried one until recently. Now that I've figured out how to buy firm tofu from the wet market nearby, I'm cooking with tofu more as well (because it's cheaper and packaging-free).

For my tofu salad, I used 1 block of hard tofu mixed with chopped celery, mayonnaise, mustard, Frank's hot sauce and pepper. After I ate one sandwich, I decided to add a bit of salt to the mixture as well.

Compared with egg salad, the tofu version is a bit mushier and not quite as flavorful. However, it is cheap, healthy, easy to make and still tasted pretty good.
