Ikea cinnamon buns at home

Baking tray with six cinnamon rolls

Nowadays when we go to Ikea, we try to plan our visit around meal time. Then we get to enjoy hot dogs, popcorn and/or other treats and snacks after shopping. I've always enjoyed the cinnamon buns from the Ikea food hall, though I guess as Americans we'd probably call them cinnamon rolls without icing.

So I finally decided it was worth buying the frozen buns to bake at home as well. As is often the case, they stayed in the freezer for quite a while before I got around to baking them.

When freshly baked, the rolls tasted just as good as at Ikea, which is obviously what you want. But on the next day, they had hardened a bit and weren't as gooey. Maybe it's better to bake the amount you want to eat on the day, rather than the whole package at once.
