Modified magic cookie bars

Although I've eaten them many times in the past, recently I made magic cookie bars for the first time. However, I made two ingredient substitutions based on what's readily available here in Hong Kong. I used digestive biscuits instead of graham crackers and desiccated coconut, which is finer and thinner than the shredded coconut we have in the US. 

The bars were easy to make and turned out pretty well. Unfortunately, the middle pieces were a bit too gooey to cut well when using an 8x11 pan. This isn't the only recipe where a 9x13 pan would be much better, so maybe I do need to buy one after all.
