Po Toi's pink restaurant

Bowl of instant noodles with fried egg, luncheon meat and seaweed

At the end of Chinese New Year, we went camping with a group of friends on Po Toi island. It's quite remote and underdeveloped, but luckily there are a few restaurants for tourists and some of them were still open despite the holiday.

For lunch, we decided to try the pink restaurant near the ferry pier. The food selection is quite limited, so we all ordered the same thing: the local specialty of instant noodles in soup with fried egg, luncheon meat (i.e. Spam) and seaweed.

Normally, I'm not a huge fan of seaweed, which can be too dry and tastes very strong. However, I really liked it in the soup, perhaps because it was harvested on the island and not processed in a factory.

We were definitely glad to have something hot and yummy to eat on a fairly chilly, windy day. The restaurant itself was also super cute with its pink and red decor.
