Time for Tea & Herb
Another restaurant on Shell Street near my office in Tin Hau is a terribly cute Western cafe called Tea & Herb. The decor of this restaurant is charming, from its aqua French window exterior to the collection of unique teapots that adorn the walls.
The menu at Tea & Herb is quite lengthy, and includes yummy sandwiches, omelets and pancakes. However, when we last ate there at lunchtime, we were only allowed to order from a more limited selection of pasta, risotto, salad and all-day breakfast.
Nevertheless, the daily special (for $95) was a delicious baked penne pasta with a hearty meaty bolognese sauce and a bit of mozzarella cheese on top. There were three roasted potatoes as part of the garnish, which was an unusual but tasty addition.
