Hawaiian Seafood Finale

On our last full day in Honolulu, we rented a car (upgraded to a Ford Mustang!) and drove to the north shore of Oahu. After stopping at the Dole pineapple plantation, we had lunch at Giovanni's Shrimp Truck.

It was the most popular outlet among the group of food trucks, and we were lucky to get a parking space nearby. We had to wait to order and for our food, but not for too long, and the resident roosters and chickens provided some entertainment.

I ordered a half portion of shrimp scampi and rice, which included about 6 or 7 shrimp and 1 scoop of rice. The flavor was very good with lots of butter and garlic. Unfortunately, it was also very messy as the shrimp were not peeled.

That evening, we had a very late dinner at Restaurant 604 next to Pearl Harbor. We were so late that only appetizers and drinks were still available. I was driving and therefore not drinking, but my colleague ordered the bar's famous bloody Mary, which was adorned with a great number of garnishes.

To eat we ordered crispy Asian-style pork, which was incredibly dry, though I don't really like it under normal circumstances. However, the cheesy seafood dip was fantastic! We also had a great table overlooking the water, though the views would've been better at sunset.
