Lemon poppyseed cake

 

Recently I ended up with too many lemons once again. Instead of making Nigella's lovely lemon polenta cake (which I've made two times since coronavirus started), I decided to try the Smitten Kitchen lemon yogurt anything cake.

As I've always been a big fan, I opted for the lemon poppyseed version rather than the original lemon blueberry. However, this recipe was a fairly tart take on lemon poppyseed. Maybe I should've tried adding a crunchy sugary topping. Or maybe I'll just make lemon polenta cake next time instead!
